Frida Karlsson Dominates Skiathlon at the Olympics, Family Support Shines
The Olympic Games have begun favorably for Swedish cross-country skier Frida Karlsson, who delivered a commanding performance in SaturdayS skiathlon. her father, Leif Medin, was visibly moved by her victory, describing it as “big, very big” in a post-race interview with SVT Sport.
while Karlsson celebrated her triumph, her mother, Mia Karlsson, was unable to attend the event in person. She was instead supporting their younger daughter, 17-year-old Hannah, at the Bauhaus Cup in Ulricehamn. despite being unable to witness the race directly, Mia Karlsson maintained contact with the national team management throughout the competition.
Ebba Andersson secured a silver medal for Sweden, finishing second in the skiathlon. Norwegian skier Heidi Weng rounded out the podium with a bronze medal.
