Garage Fire Causes Extensive Damage to Columbus Home
Columbus, WI – A notable garage fire caused ample damage to a residence located at 614 Vista Circle in Columbus on Friday, December 30, 2025. The Columbus Fire Department responded to the scene at approximately 4:10 p.m. following reports of a structure fire.
Upon arrival, firefighters encountered a fully engulfed vehicle within the garage, with flames extending to the structure itself. Preliminary investigations indicate the fire originated while work was being performed on a vehicle inside the garage.
One individual sustained injuries as an inevitable result of the fire and was transported to Prairie Ridge hospital for medical attention. Fortunately, no firefighters were injured during the response.
The Columbus Fire Department received assistance from multiple neighboring agencies, including the Columbus Police Department, Columbus Utilities, fall river Fire Department, Beaver Dam Fire Department, and CLR Fire Departments. The Doylestown Fire Department provided standby coverage at the Columbus fire station to ensure continued emergency services availability.
