Alaska’s entrepreneurial spirit is set to be celebrated as the Alaska Impact Days event approaches on April 8 and 9 in Anchorage. The event will recognize winners of a recent business competition focused on bolstering local economies and addressing community needs.

The competition showcased a diverse array of innovative business concepts. Last year’s program awarded up to $25,000 each to nine winners across three regional competitions, providing crucial seed funding for promising ventures.

Alaska Growth Capital spearheads the initiative, emphasizing the vital role of collaboration. Strategic partners including Spruce Root, Aleut, ASRC, and BBNC are instrumental in the program’s success. Additional sponsors demonstrate broad support, including Northrim Bank, the Alaska Native Science and Engineering Program, The Wildbirch Hotel, Alaska Pacific University, and Element Agency.

Entrepreneurial progress is further supported by partners at the University of Alaska Center for Economic Development, the Alaska Small Business Development Center, and the Anchorage Community Land Trust. These organizations provide valuable resources and mentorship to aspiring business owners throughout the state.

Alaska Impact Days serves as a platform to highlight the ingenuity and dedication of Alaskan entrepreneurs, fostering a stronger and more resilient local economy.
