Liverpool pursue Marc Guehi, Eye Karim Adeyemi

Liverpool have made a move for Marc Guehi from crystal Palace as manager Arne Slot and sporting director Richard Hughes work to convince Karim Adeyemi to join from Borussia Dortmund.

As the January transfer window nears, Liverpool manager Slot and sporting director Hughes know they need to strengthen the team. They plan to sign a central defender, a winger, and a striker. Ibrahima Konate’s contract ends at the end of the season, Mohamed Salah’s future is uncertain, and Alexander Isak is currently injured.

Liverpool Make Offer for Marc Guehi

TEAMtalk has reported consistently that Marc Guehi is Liverpool’s top target for a center-back in 2026.

Guehi’s contract with Crystal Palace ends at the end of the season, and the England defender has decided not to sign a new one.

Some reports suggest Guehi has ‘a gentleman’s agreement’ with Liverpool to join the Premier league champions in 2026, after almost moving to the club in the summer of 2025.

Though, TEAMtalk’s transfer correspondent, Graeme Bailey, reports there is no such agreement between guehi and Liverpool.

A source close to the situation told TEAMtalk: “There is absolutely no agreement with Liverpool or any club.

“The process is ongoing and will speed up in January. Liverpool still want him, but they aren’t the only ones.

“Marc’s situation is that after the summer [and the failed Liverpool move], it was a fresh start for everyone.

“Marc is focused on playing well for Palace and is doing a great job this season.”

According to Mundo deportivo, Liverpool are continuing their efforts to sign Guehi.
