The singer Karel Gott was buried with state honors in the fall of 2019, and at the end of 2023, the former foreign minister and former chancellor of President Václav Havel, Karel Schwarzenberg, was also buried with state honors, whose family accepted the state’s offer for this form of final farewell shortly after his death. A funeral with state honors involves less formality than a state funeral, which involves extremely important personalities.
According to former castle master of ceremonies Jindřich Forejt, the presence of a state flag or the presence of soldiers is a sign of a funeral with state honors. This happened for the first time at the funeral of former ombudsman Otakar Motejlo in 2010. In 2016, the government intended to hold a funeral with state honors for gymnast Věra Čáslavská, a similar funeral was already discussed in the case of athlete Emil Zátopek in 2000. In both cases, the family refused. “When it comes to honoring the monument, politics should go aside,” Klempíř said in a statement sent to ČTK.

She quickly became one of the most cast actresses, sought after by film and later theater directors.
Her best films include The Wolf’s Den, Higher Principle, Every Day of Courage, The Young Man and the White Whale, The End of Solitude Berhof and Beauty in Trouble. She played, among other things, in the musicals If there were a thousand clarinets and Noc na Karlštejn, as well as in comedies from the 60s and 70s, for example, I killed Einstein, gentlemen… or Hodíme se k se kőbő, darling…?
