The fire was first reported around 8:30 p.m. On March 22, 2026, at the automotive glass manufacturing complex located on West Stroop Road. Flames were visible from the roof of the facility and continued to burn after midnight. Fire officials indicated the blaze originated in the newer section of the plant, where additional manufacturing lines were being installed. Smoke was reported in surrounding areas, including Kettering, Moraine, and Miami Township, leading to the closure of nearby roads such as parts of Dixie Drive.
