Portuguese extreme metal band Gaerea have premiered their new music video for the song “Nomad,” taken from their upcoming album, Loss. The video debuted on February 17, 2026, and offers a glimpse into the band’s evolving sound and thematic exploration.

Exploring the Themes of “Nomad”

Gaerea describes “Nomad” as a reflection on the human tendency to avoid self-confrontation. According to the band, the song portrays “the individual who goes through life at a constant moving pace just to avoid facing oneself—physically drifting, but emotionally running from guilt, self-doubt, and a fear of becoming something to despise.” They further characterize the track as “a confession of alienation: a nomad not by choice, but by self-punishment and inner collapse.”
