leaked One UI 8.5 firmware has revealed several details about Samsung’s upcoming devices in recent weeks, from the Galaxy S26 series’ charging upgrade too the design of the next Galaxy Buds pro. Now, another leak is giving us our first look at the standard Galaxy Buds 4, courtesy of the folks over at Android Authority.If you’ve already seen the leaked images of the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro, you won’t find many surprises here. The regular Galaxy Buds 4 look very similar to their Pro counterparts, which is to be expected. They feature a thin, flat stem with a mesh grille at the top, and similar to the Buds 3 lineup, the non-Pro model doesn’t have silicone tips for a more comfortable and snug fit.
The buds 3 Pro also stood out thanks to Samsung’s “Blade Lights” on the stem, but that distinction is disappearing with this generation.Neither Buds 4 model will feature those lights, which is a rather disappointing change and shows that Samsung lacks a clear long-term design direction.

Samsung’s next generation of wireless earbuds, the Galaxy Buds 4 and Buds 4 pro, are shaping up to bring back a popular case design and will arrive later than anticipated. According to recent reports,the new earbuds will feature a horizontal case layout – a return to the style used before the Buds 3 series – which many users find easier for placing,removing,and securing the earbuds.
This design choice is a shift from the vertical arrangement introduced with the Buds 3. The horizontal layout is considered by many to be more practical and user-kind.
the launch timeline for the Galaxy Buds 4 and Buds 4 Pro is also noteworthy.They are expected to debut in early 2026, more than a year after the release of the Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro in July 2024. This launch is planned to coincide with the release of Samsung’s next flagship Galaxy S smartphone, the Galaxy S26.
