Gama Selmani Returns to BKFC Action Against Brad Lee in Newark
Gama Selmani will step back into the squared circle on October 17 in Newark, New Jersey, to face Brad Lee in a bare-knuckle boxing match. The heavyweight bout brings the fighter known as the ‘Albanian Psycho’ back to unchoreographed fighting following his promotional debut earlier this year.
Selmani enters the upcoming matchup after securing a second-round knockout victory against Dan Curtin in March. When I close my eyes and think about this fight, I see a lot of blood,
Selmani said. Maybe even some breaks in his face, and a big knockout.
Once he feels the first punch, he isn’t going to want to fight me.
Transition From Professional Wrestling to Bare-Knuckle Boxing
The upcoming bout continues Selmani’s combat sports career after a decade-long tenure in professional wrestling. Between 2015 and 2025, he competed in the WWE, where he captured the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship, the NXT Tag Team Championship, and won the 2016 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic alongside stablemate Akam.
That wrestling tenure concluded following a backstage altercation involving an unnamed member of the Wyatt Sicks. Transitioning to bare-knuckle fighting, Selmani secured a deal with BKFC, an organization owned by Conor McGregor. According to Selmani, the former two-division UFC champion played a direct role in his recruitment to the bare-knuckle promotion. Conor McGregor was instrumental in bringing me to BKFC. He sold me and my manager Shane Watson the idea,
Selmani stated to talkSPORT. He invited me to a show in Manchester, and I really liked it. It’s very violent. The sound that it makes when the fist hits someone’s skull. The adrenaline, even from just watching it, rushes through your body. You cannot compare it to anything else.
