The main line and the Gardermo line were closed to traffic between Lillestrøm and Kløfta on Thursday. At 22.30, traffic was reopened.

The closure led to major traffic problems for travelers to Oslo Airport, and there were reports of very long taxi queues at Norway’s main airport.

The problems started after an incident at the track, Bane Nor said at 20:00. They said it “will take time” for traffic to resume.

The police report at 20.20 that there has been a collision at the scene, and that a person has been found dead.

A train that is on its way from Eidsvoll to Kongsvinger is stuck without electricity, Vy’s press officer, Kaja Rynning Moen, said at 8.45pm.

She explains that the electricity has been taken deliberately at the request of the police. When the police have finished their investigations, the electricity will be switched on again, Moen says.
