It is an ultra-thin watch with a large rectangular display. They contain a flashlight, dozens of sports and health functions and can last up to eight days on a single charge (only two days with the always-on display). It’s Garmin’s attempt to create something like the Apple Watch. The Venu range has always been more lifestyle than sport-focused, but functionally, it’s not that dramatically different from the Fenix or Forerunners.
The Venu X1 has a 2″ OLED panel with high brightness and sapphire glass. They have a titanium back, only 7.9 mm in the waist and weigh 40 grams including the strap. In addition to the aforementioned flashlight, there is also a microphone and speaker for phone calls (through a paired mobile), the latest generation optical heart rate sensor (but no ECG), 32 GB of storage and support for Garmin Pay contactless payments.
In the review, the watch received a grade of 8.8/10 from us, we only criticized the introductory price and shorter lifespan. It still defiantly surpasses all Apple Watches, but they also function as a full-fledged computer with support for large applications.
