Geese Set to Perform on Saturday night Live

Indie rock band Geese is slated to appear as the musical guest on Saturday Night live on January 24th, hosted by Teyana Taylor. This appearance comes on the heels of a successful 2025, which saw the band gain notable momentum with thier fourth album, Getting Killed, and a series of high-profile performances.
Rising to Prominence
Geese’s ascent has been marked by critical acclaim and a growing fanbase.The band released Getting Killed in September 2025, earning a spot on several “Best Albums of 2025” lists, including a No. 7 ranking by Pitchfork. Their single, “Taxes,” received airplay and a performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. Further solidifying their presence, Geese recorded a live set for Nigel Godrich’s From the Basement series and covered New Radicals’ “You Get What You Give” for BBC radio 1 (Pitchfork).
SNL Appearance Follows Impersonation
The band’s upcoming SNL performance isn’t entirely unexpected.During the December 2025 episode hosted by Ariana Grande and featuring Cher, cast member James Austin Johnson delivered an impersonation of Geese frontman Cameron Winter in the “Random Duet Christmas Stunning” sketch (Pitchfork). This sketch, alongside parodies of other musical icons like Kate Bush and Yoko Ono, brought the band to a wider audience.
Upcoming Performances
Fans can also catch geese at the Governors Ball Music Festival this summer.
Frontman Cameron Winter also released a solo debut album, Heavy Metal,which ranked at No. 3 on Pitchfork’s “The 50 Best Albums of 2025” list.
