Geleen Car Fire Extinguished: Outbuilding Destroyed

A major fire raged in a car company in Geleen in Limburg this evening. The fire is now under control, but the building has been largely destroyed, reports said L1.

The fire, which started in an outbuilding, was reported shortly after 6 p.m., after which several fire engines responded. The fire brigade scaled up to a major fire. According to the Limburg broadcaster, the fire had spread to the main building. Flames erupted from the building and thick black smoke drifted towards a nearby neighborhood.

The fire spread soot particles in the area. For example, if they land on cars, they can be removed with soap and water, the fire brigade says.
