Generali’s Gen-AI Software Factory: 150 Experts & Tools for Economics & Finance

(Teleborsa) – Generalan Italian insurance and asset management giant, launches Generali Core Tech, the Group’s new software factory which accelerates technological transformation in line with the Lifetime Partner 27: Driving Excellence strategic plan, through the creation of scalable, shared and innovative platforms to support business growth and the ability to create greater value at the service of customers and partners.

Generali Core Tech will focus on the management and further development of Insurance in a Box (IIAB), the centralized and shared platform for Life and P&C businesses, with the aim of expanding the implementation of the programme, already active in Spain and Switzerland and currently being extended to Portugal, Hungary, Slovenia and Croatia. The The project’s initial scope will cover approximately 15 million policies at Group level.

Acting as a center of excellence, the new software factory will consist of a team of around 150 expertswill adopt advanced development methodologies, supported by tools based on Gen-AI, and will work in close collaboration with the local teams of the various business units. Generali Core Tech will make use of the RGI platform, a leading provider of insurance software in Italy and Europe.

This strategic initiative is part of Generali’s commitment to use new solutions and platforms as accelerators of the Lifetime Partner 27: Driving Excellence plan, which includes investments of 1.2-1.3 billion euros in AI and technology to support operational efficiency, technical excellence and customer experience.
