SUNY Geneseo Sends 14 Student-Athletes to NCAA Championship Meet

GENESEO, N.Y. – The SUNY Geneseo men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams will send 14 student-athletes to the NCAA Championship Meet in Indianapolis, Indiana, from March 18-21. The Knights are coming off their second-straight Empire 8 title, and 12th-consecutive and will look to craft their mark at the NCAA meet with both teams ranked inside the top 25.

Last season, the men’s team finished 21st led by two-time national champion Trent Makowiec, while the women’s team took 23rd.

Women’s Swimming and Diving Qualifiers

  • Lydia Benjamin (1 & 3 Meter Diving)
  • Hannah Brockman (1650 Freestyle)
  • Morgan Davey (1 and 3 Meter Diving)
  • Erin Johannsen (200 Free and 200 Medley Relays)
  • Sibby Lowe (200 Free and 200 Medley Relays)
  • Emily McCord (200 Free Relay)
  • Alex Sotek (50 Free, 100 Fly, 200 Free and 200 Medley Relays)
  • Emily Thomas (100 Breaststroke and 200 Medley Relay)

Men’s Swimming and Diving Qualifiers

  • Dylan Gallub (200 Free Relay)
  • Greg Meder (1 and 3 Meter Diving)
  • Jake Nielsen (100 Breaststroke and 200 Free Relay)
  • Brian Pabisch (50 Freestyle and 200 Free Relay)
  • Alex Palmer (100 and 200 Breaststroke)
  • Peter Peyser (200 Free Relay)
