Pickens’ Impressive Catch Electrifies Thanksgiving Day Game

As a nation of full stomachs settled into their couches to watch football on Thanksgiving evening, Dallas Cowboys receiver George Pickens made a remarkable play.

Facing third-and-8 just past midfield and trailing the Kansas City Chiefs 21-20 in the fourth quarter, Pickens caught a pass short of the first-down marker and pivoted to find open space. After a juke and evading one defender, Pickens found himself pursued by Chiefs cornerback Trent McDuffie.

Instead of attempting to shake McDuffie, Pickens maintained his speed and leaped, soaring over the defender and landing just seven yards short of the end zone.

Replays revealed that McDuffie made enough contact wiht Pickens to slightly disrupt his landing.
