ARD and ZDF, Germany’s two prominent public service broadcasters, have both extended their domestic rights deals with the German Ski Association (DSV) for another four years.
This contract renewal covers events across disciplines such as alpine skiing, ski jumping, cross-country skiing, Nordic combined, ski cross, freestyle skiing, and snowboarding.

The extension was brokered by SportA, the rights agency for the two public-service networks.
It entails national DSV World Cup events remaining available to fans via ARD and ZDF through the end of the 2029-30 season.
The previous tie-up between the three parties – also a four-year tie-up – dates back to the end of 2020.
Stefan Schwarzbach, head of communications at the DSV, has commented: “The winter sports coverage on ARD and ZDF creates visibility and reliability for our disciplines. This media presence fosters identification with our top athletes and has a direct positive impact on youth development in regional associations and clubs.”
The deal extends across both live coverage and on-demand viewing of DSV events.
International media rights to all FIS World Cup events taking place in Germany, meanwhile, are held by the Infront agency, in a deal with the DSV running to 2026.
Sponsorship rights to World Cup events in that major European market are held by the Sportfive agency until June this year.
