Get Connected is an online platform designed to bridge the gap between volunteers and local non-profit organizations.It serves as a central hub for discovering and managing volunteer opportunities across Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties.The platform simplifies the process of finding the right fit, allowing both volunteers and agencies to efficiently connect and collaborate.
Get Connected 101: Virtual Training Sessions
to ensure users can fully leverage the power of the Get Connected platform, United Way of West Florida offers free, one-hour virtual training sessions called “Get Connected 101.” These hands-on sessions cover all aspects of the platform,including:
* Volunteer profile Setup: learn how to create a compelling profile that highlights your skills,interests,and availability.
* Opportunity Searching: Discover effective search strategies to find volunteer opportunities aligned with your passions and schedule.
* Opportunity Listing (for Agencies): Understand how to effectively list volunteer needs and attract qualified candidates.
* Registration & Sign-Up: Master the process of signing up for opportunities and managing your volunteer commitments.
These sessions are designed for both new and existing users and provide a supportive habitat to ask questions and gain confidence in using the platform. Sessions typically take place between 11:30 AM and 12:30 PM.
