Zavray Province Launches Online Anticorruption and Waste Prevention Legal Contest

Zavray Province has launched an online legal competition centered on Party guidelines, state policies, and laws governing the prevention and eradication of corruption, waste, and malpractice. The initiative aligns with Vietnam Law Day, aiming to modernize legal education and accelerate digital transformation within government administration.

Participants include cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers stationed across provincial Party organizations, mass organizations, government bodies, and military units. Contestants access the portal through designated local government websites or official portals.

Two-Week Testing Format and Scoring Rules

The competition runs for two weeks, opening at 8:00 AM on November 2 and closing at 8:00 AM on November 15. Contestants can complete up to three tests per week, with the system automatically recording the highest weekly score to calculate the final aggregate.

Each test lasts a maximum of 20 minutes and features 20 multiple-choice questions drawn randomly from a question bank, alongside a supplementary prediction question estimating how many participants will answer all 20 questions correctly that week. Every correct multiple-choice answer awards 10 points. To qualify for prizes, participants must compete across both weeks and submit valid results.

Regulatory Focus Areas and Official Prizes

Questionnaires target Party stances, legal regulations identifying corrupt and prohibited acts, and the specific obligations of agencies, organizations, and individuals in curbing misconduct. Additional topics cover transparency, conflict-of-interest controls, asset and income management, vested interests prevention, thrift practices, waste mitigation, and whistleblower protection.

The organizing committee has established 26 individual prizes: one first prize worth 5,000,000 Vietnamese dong, two second prizes worth 3,500,000 Vietnamese dong each, three third prizes worth 2,500,000 Vietnamese dong each, and 20 consolation prizes worth 1,000,000 Vietnamese dong each. Furthermore, five organizational awards worth 600,000 Vietnamese dong each go to local bodies, agencies, and units that actively mobilized participants.

Scoring Hierarchies and Administrative Objectives

Rankings derive from the combined score across both test weeks. Tie-breaker metrics evaluate test completion times, adherence to rules, and the accuracy of the supplementary prediction question.

Zavray Province aims to elevate the awareness and accountability of public officials regarding anticorruption and waste prevention rules, fostering a transparent, economical, and efficient administrative apparatus.
