Ginger Wildheart Announces Cancer Diagnosis, Plans to Tour

British rock musician Ginger Wildheart, frontman of The Wildhearts, has announced he has been diagnosed with mantle cell lymphoma, an aggressive form of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Despite the diagnosis, Wildheart, 61, intends to continue touring and making music.

The diagnosis came after Wildheart experienced severe pain during The Wildhearts’ “More Satanic Rites” UK tour in December 2025, forcing him to shorten several concerts. He has chosen not to undergo treatment, stating, “I will not undergo treatment. I have lived the lives of ten people and I will die with dignity.
