Fans of the long-running anime series Gintama will have a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of their favorite characters at Tobu Zoo in Saitama Prefecture, Japan. A collaboration event is scheduled to run from Saturday, April 18, 2026, to Sunday, June 28, 2026, with select closure dates throughout the period.
About Gintama
Gintama began as a manga series created by Hideaki Sorachi, published in Weekly Shonen Jump by Shueisha. The series has achieved a cumulative worldwide circulation of 73 million copies, including digital versions. Known for its blend of humor, action, and heartfelt storytelling, Gintama has expanded into a multimedia franchise encompassing television anime, theatrical films, and a live-action adaptation. A new anime series, “3rd Year Z Class Ginpachi Sensei,” based on the spin-off novel by Tomohito Osaki (original story by Hideaki Sorachi), is set to premiere on the TV Tokyo network starting in October 2025.

The collaboration event at Tobu Zoo will take place between April 18 and June 28, 2026, excluding the following dates: June 3, June 10, June 17, and June 24.
