Giulia Reclaims WWE Women’s United States Championship on SmackDown

Giulia is once again the WWE Women’s United States Champion.On Friday’s episode of SmackDown, she defeated Chelsea Green to reclaim the title two months after losing it.

The match ended after Green nearly secured a win with Radio silence,a move associated with her husband Matt Cardona,who made his return earlier in the night. Green followed by heading to the top rope, looking to finish the match. Giulia stopped the attempt and pulled her down with a butterfly superplex. She quickly followed with a northern lights bomb and scored the pinfall. The victory was clean and resulted in a clear title change.

Green first won the championship in November under controversial circumstances. During that match, a brawl broke out at ringside involving Kiana James and alba Fyre. The distraction allowed Green to surprise Giulia with a schoolgirl pin, also using the ropes for leverage, which went unnoticed by the official. That moment marked the start of Green’s reign.

Since then, the rivalry has continued across WWE programming. Giulia and Kiana James have regularly faced Green and Alba Fyre in singles and tag team matches, on televised events as well as live house shows, keeping the feud active for several months.

With this win, Giulia adds another major accomplishment to her WWE resume. In just 16 months with the company, she has now captured the WWE Women’s United States Championship twice. She is also a former NXT Women’s Champion and a winner of the iron Survivor Challenge,further solidifying her position as one of the most accomplished women on the current WWE roster.
