Glashütte Original Serenade Luna: A New Quartet of Models

Glashütte Original has expanded its Serenade Luna collection with four new models, showcasing a blend of luxury and technical expertise. These timepieces, designed specifically for women, offer a range of case materials and diamond settings, while maintaining the collection’s signature elegance and mechanical precision.

Designed for the Female Wrist

Unlike the PanoMatic Luna, which is a smaller version of a men’s model, the Serenade Luna was conceived from the outset as a dedicated women’s watch. Its proportions – a 32.5mm diameter and a slim 8.9mm height – are tailored for smaller wrists. The collection combines the technical prowess of the PanoMatic Luna, the sporty aesthetic of the Lady Serenade, and the luxurious feel of the Pavonina.

New Models and Design Details

The new Serenade Luna models are available in red gold and bi-colour gold and steel cases. Luxurious red gold cases feature 48 brilliant-cut diamonds set in the bezel, while steel cases are offered with or without diamond-set bezels. All four models feature a polished finish and a rose-cut diamond set in the blossom-shaped crown.

Dial Variations and Moon Phase Display

Three of the Serenade Luna models feature dials crafted from mother-of-pearl, known for its iridescent rainbow-like play of colours. The moon phase display at 6 o’clock is a focal point, with a white mother-of-pearl moon set against a darker Tahitian mother-of-pearl sky enhanced with gold stars. A red gold model features a blue sunray-brushed dial and a light blue starry sky achieved with a layer of blue lacquer beneath the mother-of-pearl.

The chapter ring on all models is adorned with red gold diamond-set indices, and a slight indentation separates it from the dial’s centre.

In-House Calibre 35 Movement

The Serenade Luna is powered by Glashütte Original’s in-house automatic calibre 35. This movement, designed to fit the watch’s small case, measures just 3.8mm thick and provides a 60-hour power reserve. The transparent caseback reveals hand-finished decorations, including stripes on the three-quarter plate, bevelled edges, polished and blued screws, and a solid red gold rotor with a seashell pattern.

Pricing and Availability
