GLPH Expands Online Sales Through Coupang and Naver Shopping
The GLP-1 aftercare brand GLPH has expanded its distribution channels by launching sales on Coupang and Naver Shopping, according to a report by economist.co.kr. Operated by Hanawon Korea, the brand began offering its three-product refill formula lineup on the major e-commerce platforms on September 24, moving beyond its initial official online mall and physical retail locations.
Retail Footprint and Product Lineup Details
Hanawon Korea initiated offline sales for the brand on August 27, subsequently growing its physical retail footprint to 21 locations across the Seoul and Gyeonggi regions. The brand centers its product concept on post-weight-loss nutritional routines, aiming to maintain daily intake habits rather than acting as a medical treatment or a weight loss catalyst.
The product portfolio consists of three specific formulations designed for single-serving daily use:
- Amino Acid Refill Formula: A pineapple-flavored liquid stick containing 3,530 mg of 12 amino acids—including eight essential amino acids—alongside 2,500 mg of fish collagen.
- Collagen Refill Formula: A liquid stick containing 3,500 mg of fish collagen and 20% orange juice concentrate.
- Biotin Refill Formula: A 30-tablet supply intended for one tablet per day, with each serving providing 10,000 micrograms of biotin and 3,000 international units of vitamin D.
Advisory Development and General Food Classification
Hanawon Korea developed the three formulations as general foods rather than health functional foods. The company consulted an advisory committee of five doctors and pharmacists during the design phase to establish flavor profiles and serving convenience.
Lee Chang-seok, brand general manager at Hanawon Korea, stated that the company recognizes ongoing consumer demand to manage nutritional intake following weight loss, driving the dual expansion across online and offline channels. The brand intends to continue increasing consumer touchpoints through accessible retail environments moving forward.
