GM Returns to the UK with Cadillac, GMC and Chevrolet Models

General Motors (GM) has officially re-entered the United Kingdom’s new car market through its newly established GM Specialty Vehicles (GMSV) division. The company will directly import and sell a selection of large American SUVs and pickup trucks from Cadillac, GMC, and Chevrolet, offering UK customers a direct purchase experience and comprehensive warranty support.

Direct Sales and Model Lineup

GMSV will handle sales directly to buyers, bypassing traditional third-party importers. This approach mirrors a successful program already in place in Australia. The initial lineup includes ten models across three brands:

  • Cadillac: Escalade, Escalade ESV, Escalade-V
  • GMC: Yukon Denali, Sierra 1500 Denali, Sierra 1500 AT4
  • Chevrolet: Tahoe, Suburban, Silverado

Warranty and Support

All vehicles supplied by GMSV will be fully homologated for the UK market, ensuring they meet all legal and technical requirements. Each vehicle comes standard with a three-year, unlimited-mileage new car warranty, with the option to extend coverage for an additional two years. Buyers will benefit from transparent pricing, official financing options, and GM-standard service.

Partnership with Clive Sutton

The launch of GMSV in the UK is being facilitated in partnership with London-based dealer Clive Sutton, who has extensive experience importing GM vehicles from the United States. Clive Sutton will serve as the first official UK retailer for the operation, with plans to expand the retailer network in the future. Orders are currently being accepted through GMSV.uk, with deliveries expected to commence this spring.

Pricing and Availability

According to Carscoops, pricing for the models will start at £66,000 for the Chevrolet Silverado. The GMC Sierra AT4 will be priced at £73,000, whereas the GMC Yukon Denali will start at £110,000. Cadillac Escalade models will range from £149,950 to £199,950 for the V-Series. The Escalade ESV will be available for £180,000.

Silverado Delay

The arrival of the new Chevrolet Silverado may be slightly delayed due to a scheduled generational change for the 2027 model year.

Expanding GM’s Presence in the UK

This move builds upon the successful return of the Corvette to the UK market last year and hints at the potential for further expansion, including the introduction of Cadillac’s electric models, as noted by The Car Expert.
