Google Nest Cam Indoor (3rd Gen) Review: Great Camera,Costly Subscription

The new 3rd Generation Google Nest camera arrived for review recently. I was impressed, especially since I needed it too check on my elderly mother who lives alone. Though, after my Google Home Subscription expired, I quickly realized how limited the camera becomes without a paid subscription.
Design
The latest Google nest Camera has a great design. the base is easy to mount,and the camera itself is flexible – something not all camera designers prioritize. It’s also weighty enough that double-sided sticky pads won’t hold it securely for long; it’s best to screw it in properly.
The camera looks good, but isn’t overly intimidating, which is ideal if you want visible security.Google seems to be designing these for indoor use where cameras don’t need to be hidden. They look nice while still blending into the background.
This is a wired camera, so there’s no battery to worry about. The cable is also a generous length. There’s no IP rating,as it’s intended for indoor use only.
The camera’s smart features are where it truly shines.
Functionality
I’ll break this down into two parts.
The camera quality is excellent. You get 2K resolution from a small device, and it’s priced under €100 for the device itself. It syncs with the Google Home app, which is a plus or minus depending on your opinion of Google’s ecosystem. I’m not a huge fan of it, especially now that I’m more involved with Home
