Surrey Police Service investigating after reported gunfire between two vehicles The Surrey Police Service says officers were called to 105 Avenue and University Drive just after 9 p.m. On Saturday night for reports of gunfire being exchanged between two vehicles. People in two cars fired shots at each other in Surrey’s City Centre neighbourhood before speeding away. Shell casings were found in the area, and witnesses said the white car might have had damage to its windshield on the driver’s side. Neither vehicle has been found and there are no reported injuries. Investigators were expected to be in the area again Sunday canvassing for physical and video evidence. Staff Sgt. Lindsey Houghton said it’s unknown what led to the confrontation. Anyone with information, dashcam or surveillance footage is asked to call the Surrey police non-emergency line at 604-599-0502 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
