Guaranty Bank Promotes Leaders in Mortgage and Consumer Lending

Guaranty Bank has promoted three employees within its mortgage and consumer lending teams.

Courtney Carter and Sarah Everett have been named vice president, residential lenders, while Brett LaForest has been promoted to vice president, consumer lender/underwriter, according to a community announcement.

Carter, who has been with the bank for more than four years, began her career with the bank in 2021 as a residential lender. She is a graduate of Missouri State University and volunteers with various organizations in Springfield.

Sarah Everett

Everett has been with Guaranty Bank for more than three years, starting her career with the bank as an assistant vice president, residential lender. She holds an MBA from Missouri State University and serves on the boards of the Rebound Foundation and the Ozarks Regional YMCA.

“Courtney and Sarah have both shown exceptional dedication to their work and the communities they serve,” Jeremy Thomas, vice president, residential lending production manager, said in the announcement. “We are proud to recognize their contributions and look forward to their continued leadership at Guaranty Bank.”

Brett LaForest

LaForest has more than 17 years of experience in the financial services industry, with roles including consumer lender, mortgage banker and branch manager. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Dana College and is involved with the Joplin Chamber of Commerce.

“Brett brings a wealth of experience and strong customer-first mindset to this role,” Rob Dixon, vice president, consumer lending, said in the announcement. “We are excited about the positive impact he will continue to have on our clients and organization.”
