Eero Savilahti Joins Östersund Hockey
Eero SavilahtiS contract expired this fall. Now, Hockeynews can confirm the 33-year-old has reached an agreement with Östersund.
Östersund has been surprisingly strong this autumn, currently holding seventh place in the standings. The club is now bolstering its roster with an experienced forward who has been without a team all season. According to a Hockeynews source,the club has agreed to terms with former IKO and Nybro forward,Eero Savilahti.
Proven Production in nybro
Eero Savilahti has established himself in Swedish hockey through prosperous seasons with Nybro Vikings. The 33-year-old Finn is a reliable two-way forward capable of contributing offensively.
During the 2023-24 season, Savilahti recorded an notable 42 points in 45 games in the Hockeyallsvenskan while playing for Nybro. He then joined Oskarshamn,where the move didn’t work out,before returning to his previous club.

Despite his proven scoring ability, Savilahti has been without a contract throughout the autumn.
