Tilda Swinton and HADES Knitwear Announce Second Collaboration
Scottish actor Tilda Swinton and British knitwear brand HADES have announced a second collaborative capsule collection, building on their initial partnership launched in August 2024. The new collection will be unveiled later this month, according to a post on Instagram by HADES on April 19, 2026.
The First Collaboration
The initial Tilda Swinton x HADES collection, released in August 2024, featured a small capsule of knitwear – four knits, three skirts, and two scarves – co-designed with Swinton. The designs were inspired by four films from Swinton’s filmography: Female Perversions, Last of England, Orlando, and Suspiria. All pieces were made in England, and Scotland.
Development of the Partnership
The collaboration began organically, with Swinton initially as a customer of HADES’ knitwear. A correspondence developed into a design partnership, taking two years to finalize the designs for the first collection. The brand is known for celebrating cult artists and musicians through its clothing.

‘Mother’ Cardigan Inspiration
One piece from the first collection, the ‘Mother’ cardigan, was specifically inspired by Luca Guadagnino’s 2018 film Suspiria, in which Swinton starred in three roles. The cardigan features surrealist hands in black and red. HADES collaborated closely with Swinton throughout the design and manufacturing process, including a visit to the HADES manufacturing factory in Scotland where the knitwear is produced.
Availability
The initial Tilda Swinton x HADES collection was available online and at a pop-up shop in Mayfair, London, in September 2024.
Further details regarding the release date and designs of the second collection will be announced later in April 2026.
