Haikal Hassan also highlighted President PrabowoS character, describing him as a devout leader who consistently encourages his staff to prioritize worship. He recounted an instance where the President reminded those present to perform the evening prayer, expressing pride in having a leader with such values.
This emphasis on moral conduct comes after President Prabowo previously addressed concerns about criticism from certain elites. He expressed confusion over what he characterized as a tendency to focus on negativity and ridicule, even in the face of national achievements. At a Food Self-Sufficiency proclamation event in Karawang, West Java, on January 7th, Prabowo stated that some individuals seem to find joy only in “ridiculing, blaspheming, and slandering,” rather than acknowledging progress .
President Prabowo suggested that these critics are frequently enough more active on social media than engaged in constructive work, and even speculated that some might potentially be motivated by financial incentives. He acknowledged his bewilderment but indicated a resolve to remain focused on national development.
