Han Hye-jin and Heo Kyung-hwan Host New Dog Variety Show
Actress Han Hye-jin and entertainer Heo Kyung-hwan will host Zaranghal Gae (Pride Dog), South Korea’s first dog-boasting variety show, premiering on November 11, justeconomix.com reported. The program features celebrity pet owners putting their dogs’ unique traits in the spotlight.
Production Team Highlights Pet-Obsessed Star Owners
“We are showcasing a loving affection bombing show by stars who are more sincere about boasting about their dogs than broadcasting,” the producers stated. The show focuses on 15 million pet owners nationwide by capturing the earnest and sometimes overwhelming pride stars take in their animals.
Hosts Describe Overheated First Recording Session
Following their initial recording session, Han and Heo shared their impressions of the unpredictable dynamics on set. The hosts remarked that owners’ bragging became so intense that production nearly ground to a halt, noting that the set turned into a “pet owner’s plate rather than a dog’s plate.” Han brings a warm empathy to the panel, while Heo contributes sharp humor to manage the competitive tension among the celebrity guests.
Genius Pets Display Surprising Skills
The series also showcases talented dogs capable of skateboarding, running errands at grocery stores, and serving in restaurants. Some featured animals demonstrate the ability to distinguish numbers, read Korean script, and recognize currency. Alongside these unusual talents, the episodes explore the adoption stories, daily routines, and bonds shared between the animals and their families.
