Hannah Ellis Brings Officer Down Golf Classic Back to Nashville
Country singer-songwriter Hannah Ellis is hosting the second annual Officer Down Golf Classic on Monday, October 19, in Nashville, celebsecrets.com reported. The tournament supports Concerns of Police Survivors, a nonprofit that helps families and coworkers of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty.
Last year’s inaugural tournament raised $27,220 for the organization. Ellis created the event to honor her cousin, Officer Daniel Ellis, who was killed in the line of duty in 2015. Shortly after his funeral, she wrote the song “Officer Down,” later releasing a 10th-anniversary version of the track in October 2025.
Balancing New Motherhood and a Return to Touring
Ellis welcomed her son, Huck, last November. She spent much of the past year juggling family life with international travel, bringing her son to Europe while she played shows.
“Oh my gosh, life has just been a whirlwind, but it’s been so amazing the last year getting to spend so much time with my son, but then also being able to go back to work and start to show him what it’s like to have a mother that’s gonna take care of him, but also go out there and get it,” Ellis told celebsecrets.com in an exclusive interview.
That shift in perspective has changed how she manages her schedule. She is learning to give herself grace while balancing her career, friendships, and family responsibilities.
New Music Slated for Release
Alongside her charitable work, Ellis is preparing to share a new batch of music in 2027. The upcoming songs draw inspiration from her experiences with motherhood and a renewed sense of personal confidence. “Being able to write from this new perspective of, you know, motherhood and just newfound confidence has really been incredible,” she said.
