The highly anticipated HBO television series adaptation of J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter books has offered fans their first official glimpse of the recent cast and Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The image, released on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, showcases Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, clad in a Gryffindor cloak, walking towards the Quidditch pitch.
The official “Harry Potter” Instagram account accompanied the image with the caption “Tomorrow ⚡️,” hinting at a potential trailer release. The photograph depicts Harry from behind, surrounded by fellow Hogwarts students, with flags for Gryffindor and Hufflepuff visible in the background. His Gryffindor cloak bears his surname and the number seven.
Casting and Production Details
Dominic McLaughlin stars as Harry Potter, with Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley. The series also features a stellar supporting cast including Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, and John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore. Janet McTeer will portray Professor Minerva McGonagall, Luke Thallon will play Quirinus Quirrell, and Paul Whitehouse will embody Argus Filch. Warwick Davis reprises his role as Professor Filius Flitwick.
