Harvard Athletics Announces Paid Internship Opportunities for 2026-2027

Harvard University’s Athletics Department is offering a variety of paid internship positions for the 2026-2027 academic year, providing hands-on experience in various facets of a Division I athletics program. These internships are designed for students currently enrolled in a degree or certificate-granting program at an accredited college or university, with the requirement that they receive academic credit for their participation.

Available Internship Positions

Athletic Communications Internships (2 Positions)

Harvard Athletic Communications is seeking two 10-month interns to assist with the coverage and historical documentation of the University’s 42-sport varsity athletics program. Interns will report to the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications and will be responsible for promoting and publicizing the Athletics department through various media outlets, including GoCrimson.com and social media platforms. Duties include writing and editing website content, conducting research, and assisting with archival projects. The wage for this position is $15.00 per hour. Ticketing Operations Internship (1 Position)

The Harvard Ticket Office is seeking one 10-month intern to focus on customer service, ticket sales, and event operations for revenue-generating Harvard Athletics sports. The intern will develop and implement sales and outreach strategies to expand the customer base and enhance fan loyalty. Responsibilities include distributing tickets, managing season ticket renewals, conducting cold calls, and assisting with marketing and promotional outreach. The intern will similarly play a role in planning and executing major events such as the Harvard/Yale Football game, Hocktoberfest, and National Girls and Women in Sports Day. Equipment Operations Internships (2 Positions)

The Equipment department is hiring two 10-month interns to assist with the day-to-day management of equipment for Harvard’s 42 Varsity sports. Interns will report to the Assistant Director of Athletics – Equipment Operations and will gain experience in ordering and purchasing equipment, managing budgets, and controlling inventory. They will support specific teams, working directly with coaches, student-athletes, and administrators. A valid driver’s license is required. The wage for this position is $15.00 per hour. Events &amp. Operations Internships (2 Positions)

Harvard Athletics is offering two paid internship opportunities in Events & Operations. Interns will report to the Assistant Director of Events and will learn event, facility, and personnel management. Responsibilities include assisting with logistical arrangements for intercollegiate contests, supervising game-day crews, and coordinating with visiting teams and officials. Multimedia Internship (1 Position)

The Harvard University Department of Athletics is accepting applications for a 10-month internship in Athletics Multimedia, running from July 2026 to May 2027. The intern will report to Jamie Magone, Assistant Director of Multimedia and Production, and will assist with coverage of the university’s 42-sport varsity athletics program. The intern will work as part of the game-day video production team, operating technical equipment to produce and broadcast athletic events on ESPN+ and in-venue video board shows. Internship Details
