Hillary Clinton Accuses Trump Administration of Epstein Files ‘Cover-Up’

Berlin – Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has publicly accused the Trump administration of orchestrating a “continuing cover-up” regarding the full release of files related to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Clinton leveled the accusations during a BBC interview conducted while attending the Munich Security Conference in Berlin on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.

Criticism of Bondi’s Testimony and Congressional Investigation

Clinton specifically criticized the recent testimony of former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi before the House Judiciary Committee, describing it as a deliberate attempt to deflect attention from the matter. “She refused to answer questions, diverted attention away from the matter at hand, and refused to glance at the survivors,” Clinton stated. She suggested the administration’s behavior indicates they “have something to hide.”

The House Oversight Committee had previously voted to recommend holding both Bill and Hillary Clinton in contempt of Congress after they initially resisted testifying in the Epstein investigation. Still, an aide for the couple announced on February 2nd that they had agreed to comply with the committee’s request. Bill Clinton is scheduled to testify on February 27th, with Hillary Clinton appearing the day before.

Trump’s Response and Claims of Exoneration

The White House, responding to Clinton’s allegations, directed inquiries to comments made by former President Donald Trump aboard Air Force One. Trump asserted he has been “totally exonerated on Epstein” and accused Clinton of suffering from “Trump Derangement Syndrome.” He claimed, “I have nothing to hide, I have been exonerated, I have nothing to do with Jeffrey Epstein. They’re getting pulled in and that’s their problem.”

Concerns Over Redactions and Full File Release

Clinton emphasized the require for the complete release of the Epstein files, stating, “Get the files out. They are sluggish-walking it. They are redacting the names of men who are in it.” This concern echoes criticisms raised by lawmakers regarding redactions within the released documents, with some alleging that names were removed without sufficient legal justification. Representative Thomas Massie (R-KY) highlighted that a bill co-authored with Representative Ro Khanna (D-CA) mandates the release of internal memos and notes related to decisions regarding the prosecution or investigation of Epstein-related cases.

Clinton’s Personal Connections and Focus on Victims

Clinton stated she does not recall meeting Epstein but acknowledged encountering his associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, on several occasions at events like the Clinton Global Initiative. She reiterated that both Epstein and Maxwell were convicted of “horrific crimes against girls and women” and that this should be the central focus of the investigation. Clinton and her husband have maintained they have limited knowledge of Epstein’s crimes and have offered to provide testimony in public to ensure transparency.

Calls for Testimony from Prince Andrew

When questioned about whether Prince Andrew should testify before Congress regarding his ties to Epstein, Clinton stated, “I think everybody should testify who is asked to testify. I just aim for it to be fair. I want everybody treated the same way.”
