next month, a cherished Decatur tradition offers a special chance to explore beautifully decorated historic homes, significant sites, and local churches throughout Decatur’s Albany and Old decatur districts.

Held annually on the second Saturday in December, the Christmas Tour of Homes showcases the unique charm and character of Decatur’s historic neighborhoods. Guests can wander through stunningly decorated homes, enjoy live holiday music, savor festive refreshments, and admire the residents’ eager competition for the title of best-decorated home.

The December 13th event isn’t just a celebration of holiday spirit; it’s a fundraiser for the Decatur Preservation society. Proceeds from the tour directly support the Society’s efforts to preserve and protect decatur’s historic buildings and neighborhoods for future generations.
