ADAC Nordbaden Honors Motorsports Athletes in Hockenheim Gala

Hockenheim, Germany – On Saturday, January 25, 2025, the ADAC Nordbaden (North Baden Motor Sports Club) held its annual awards gala at the Stadthalle Hockenheim, recognizing the achievements of its regional and national motorsports athletes. Over 100 trophies and medals were presented to competitors across various disciplines, including karting, automobile racing, and motorcycling.

Awards Ceremony Highlights

The event, hosted by motorsport expert and presenter Lina van de Mars, celebrated the successes of athletes in karting, automobile, and motorcycle racing. Lena Haberjan, Sportvorständin (Sports Director) of ADAC Nordbaden, presented the awards alongside Hockenheimer Bürgermeister (Mayor) Matthias Beck.

Two individuals received the Ewald-Kroth-Medaille in Gold mit Brillant, the ADAC’s highest honor for volunteer engagement: Ralf Kumpf (MSC Oftersheim) and Konrad Beige (MSC Grötzingen). Hans Weber, Chairman of ADAC Nordbaden, presented the awards to recognize their decades of dedication to motorsports organization. Bernhard Weber (MSC Ziegelhausen) received the Ewald-Kroth-Medaille in Gold mit Kranz.

Karting Successes

The ADAC Nordbaden and its local clubs organized nearly 200 motorsport events in 2025. Karting proved particularly successful, with a notable shift towards electric drives for the 2025 season.

Finn Hornung (MSC Weingarten) secured first place in Class 2 (2014-2015 age group) at the dmjs German Kart Slalom Championship, becoming the German champion. Louis Wölfelschneider (AMC Reilingen) and Justus Stuffer (MSC Weingarten) finished second and third, respectively, in Class 3 (2012-2013). All three had previously excelled at the Baden-Württemberg youth kart slalom championship.

In the Class 2 race in Hohentengen, athletes from North Baden swept the podium: Hornung, Maurice Stahl and Ben Heiermann (both MSC Altenbach). Karlson Hillenbrand secured third place in Class 1 (2016-2018). Louis Wölfelschneider won Class 3, with Justus Stuffer taking third. Zelia Mangei (MSC Altenbach) won Class 4 (2010-2011), and Thiederik Terlinden (AMC Reilingen) finished third. Robin Boehm placed third among seniors in Class 5 (2007-2009).

Automobile and Motorcycle Racing Achievements

Florian Wocker (MSC Walldorf-Astoria) won first place in the ADAC Kart Youngster Cup in Rotax Mini Class 5, with teammate Maik Franz finishing third. The MSC Oberflockenbach team secured second place in the overall ranking of the German Team Championship (GTC) kart endurance series.

In the German Off-Road Vehicle Championship, Jörg Weckler (MSC Asbach/Fun Cup class) and Jürgen Röther (MSC Asbach/Class Original) both achieved second-place finishes. Sabine Goehrig (AMC Reilingen) secured second place in the ladies’ ranking of the KW Berg Cup in mountain racing.

MSC Walldürn drivers also achieved notable results: Danny Brink took second place in the TCR class in the Nürburgring endurance series and third in the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring. Rudolf Brandl placed second in class V5, and Sebastian Brandl in class SP7 at the same event.

Lukas Tulovic (AMC Albgau Ettlingen) won the International German Motorcycle Championship (IDM) in the Superbike class. The Rheintal MSC Kirrlach Wiesental team won the German Long Distance Cup (DLC). Timo Schnitz, Andreas Beck, Oscar Wünsch, Hektor Kammerer, and Ole Kreth (RMSC Ölbronn) achieved success in motorcycle trials. The youth motoball players from MSC Taifun Mörsch and the first team from MSC Ubstadt-Weiher were each named German runners-up. Several North Baden motoball players won European championship titles with the German national team at the European Championships in Budel, the Netherlands.

ADAC Nordbaden’s Regional Dominance

The ADAC Nordbaden prevailed against other associations from Baden-Württemberg in the association ranking, demonstrating its strength and success in motorsports.
