Scandi-Style Sanctuary in County Cork
Kate and Ross, along with their three daughters, have designed a modern, Scandi-style detached latest build in County Cork. Their dream home prioritizes natural materials, neutral colors, and abundant natural light.1 The couple has employed a color palette of white and organic hues, complemented by light woods and white walls to create a bright and airy atmosphere.1
Kerry’s Open-Plan Homestead
Competing against the Cork property was an open-plan home in County Kerry, owned by Toni and Fionan. Completed in 2023, the home serves as a central gathering place for family and friends.3 The couple has embraced a sustainable lifestyle, incorporating a homestead with chickens and bees, creating a nurturing environment for their son.3 The design features a warm and contemporary aesthetic, inspired by the couple’s travels and shared experiences.3
Dublin’s Renovated Residence
As well vying for a spot in the final was a beautifully renovated house in Dublin, owned by Esther and Robyn. Purchased in 2019, the home underwent a comprehensive renovation in two phases.3 The first phase focused on restoring the home to its core, removing old interior elements and achieving an A2 BER Rating. The second phase involved a two-story steel-clad extension.3 The resulting design blends traditional and contemporary elements, aiming for a timeless aesthetic.3
