Honda Prelude Limited Edition Arrives in Europe With Exclusive Design and Hybrid Power
Honda is preparing a special Prelude Limited Edition for the European market, featuring exclusive cosmetic enhancements and a strictly limited production run, according to a report by iauto.lv. The front-wheel-drive coupe relies on a 2.0-liter e:HEV hybrid powertrain delivering 184 horsepower and 315 Nm of torque.
The European release follows stronger-than-expected demand in Japan, where consumers placed roughly 2,400 orders during the model’s first month on sale. Honda had initially planned to sell just 300 units per month in its domestic market. European buyers face a starting price of 49,500 euros for the Limited Edition, though Honda has not yet disclosed the exact number of units allocated to the region.
Limited Edition Features Red Interior and Garnet Paint
The Limited Edition distinguishes itself primarily through unique styling details rather than mechanical upgrades. The exterior features a new Premium Crystal Garnet Metallic paint finish, complemented by black 19-inch wheels and red Brembo brake calipers.
Inside the 2+2 cabin, Honda utilizes Bordeaux red materials throughout the seating and trim. The vehicle measures 4.53 meters in length and retains the standard chassis setup, which includes adaptive dampers and multiple selectable drive modes, including a dedicated Sport setting.
Hybrid System Delivers 184 Horsepower and Fuel Efficiency
The powertrain pairs the 184-horsepower hybrid system with Honda’s S+ Shift gear-simulation logic. The coupe accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 8.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 188 km/h.
Despite the sporting aesthetic of the Limited Edition, efficiency remains a core focus of the e:HEV setup. The vehicle achieves a combined fuel consumption rate of 5.2 liters per 100 kilometers.
