Honor Magic V6 Launches in China with Enhanced Battery and Features
Honor has officially launched its newest foldable smartphone, the Magic V6, in the Chinese market. The device boasts a larger battery capacity compared to the global version, alongside other notable upgrades and competitive pricing.
Battery Capacity and Variants
The Honor Magic V6 offers varying battery capacities depending on the configuration. Models with 12GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of storage are equipped with a 6,850mAh silicon-carbon battery. The top-tier variant, featuring 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, includes an even larger 7,150mAh battery. GSM Arena reports all versions support 80W wired charging and 66W wireless charging.
Pricing in China
Honor has announced the official pricing for the Magic V6 in China:
- 12GB RAM / 256GB storage – CNY 8,999 (approximately IDR 22.1 million)
- 12GB RAM / 512GB storage – CNY 9,999 (approximately IDR 24.5 million)
- 16GB RAM / 512GB storage – CNY 10,999 (approximately IDR 27 million)
- 16GB RAM / 1TB storage – CNY 11,999 (approximately IDR 29.4 million)
Design and Display
The Honor Magic V6 features a 7.95-inch main folding display with LTPO2 AMOLED technology, a resolution of 2,172 x 2,352 pixels, and a brightness of up to 5,000 nits. Beebom highlights the inclusion of Honor’s Super Armored Inner Screen protective layer and an anti-reflective coating. The cover screen measures 6.52 inches with an LTPO2 OLED panel, a resolution of 1,080 x 2,420 pixels, and a peak brightness of 6,000 nits. Both displays support a variable refresh rate of up to 120Hz and 10-bit color depth.
When closed, the device measures 8.75mm in thickness and 4mm when open, weighing 219 grams. It utilizes a Super Steel Hinge, tested for 500,000 folds, and boasts IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance.
Performance and Camera
The Magic V6 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and runs MagicOS 10 based on Android 16, promising 7 major Android updates. TechTimes reports the device features a triple-camera system, including a 50MP main camera, a 64MP telephoto periscope lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide lens.
Additional Features
The Chinese variant of the Honor Magic V6 includes dual physical SIM slots, a feature becoming increasingly rare in foldable smartphones.
The Honor Magic V6 is now available for pre-order in China, with deliveries scheduled to begin on March 13, 2026.
