Honor Unveils Robot Phone and AI Ecosystem at MWC 2026

Barcelona – Honor showcased a groundbreaking “Robot Phone” alongside its new Magic V6 foldable smartphone and a broader AI ecosystem at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026. The Robot Phone, a concept device, aims to redefine smartphone interaction through AI-powered robotics, while the Magic V6 represents the company’s advancements in foldable technology. These releases come amid ongoing challenges in the memory chip market CNBC.

The Robot Phone: A New Species of Smartphone

Honor describes the Robot Phone as “a new species of smartphone,” featuring an articulating camera module designed to add a more human element to device interaction PCMag. The device utilizes AI to identify sounds, track motion, and maintain visual awareness, enabling it to respond to its environment. Key features include 360-degree video calls with subject tracking and a camera capable of expressive movements, such as nodding, shaking, and even “dancing” to music PCMag. The camera module operates on a three-axis gimbal, supporting AI-powered video stabilization and features like AI SpinShot for cinematic shots.

Honor acknowledges the engineering challenges involved in developing the Robot Phone, particularly concerning weight, strength, and internal space PCMag. Currently, the Robot Phone remains a concept, with no confirmed timeline for commercial release.

Magic V6: A Leap in Foldable Technology

Alongside the Robot Phone, Honor launched the Magic V6, its latest foldable smartphone. The device emphasizes design, battery life, and AI-enhanced productivity Honor Global. The Magic V6 boasts a remarkably thin profile of 8.75mm when closed, coupled with a reinforced structure and IP68 and IP69 certifications for water and dust resistance Honor Global.

The phone features a 6,660 mAh silicon-carbon battery, balancing energy density and thickness. It incorporates dual LTPO 2.0 displays: a 6.52-inch external screen and a 7.95-inch internal screen, both with adaptive refresh rates of 1-120Hz and high brightness for HDR content. The internal display is designed with a reduced crease and materials to improve visual comfort Honor Global.

The Magic V6 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 platform and includes a vapor chamber cooling system. Honor plans to create the Magic V6 commercially available in China in the second half of 2026 CNBC. The MagicPad 4 will be available in stores from March 2.

Bridging Ecosystems with Seamless Connectivity

Honor is as well focusing on interoperability between devices and operating systems, particularly with Apple products. The Magic V6, MagicPad 4, and MagicBook Pro 14 offer features like OneTap file transfer with iPhones and Macs, and the ability to use the MagicPad 4 as an extended display for Macs CNBC. Humanoid Robot Debut
