Horse Lords Announce New Album, Demand to Be Taken to Heaven Alive!

Baltimore-based experimental rock band Horse Lords have announced their sixth studio album, Demand to Be Taken to Heaven Alive!, set for release on June 12 via RVNG Intl. The album marks a significant evolution for the group, featuring vocals for the first time in their 16-year history.

New Singles and Visuals

Accompanying the album announcement are two new singles, “Eureka 378-B” and “Brain of the Firm,” both released today. The singles are supported by music videos directed by artist Scott Kiernan. Watch the official video for “Eureka 378-B / Brain of the Firm” here.

A Shift in Sound and Lineup

Demand to Be Taken to Heaven Alive! was recorded between Berlin and Baltimore. The album expands the band’s core lineup – Owen Gardner, Max Eilbacher, Sam Haberman and Andrew Bernstein – with the addition of bass clarinetist Madison Greenstone, trombonist Weston Olencki, and vocalists Nina Guo and Evelyn Saylor.

Tour Dates

Horse Lords will support the album with a North American tour this summer, including stops in Minneapolis, Madison, Buffalo, and Los Angeles. They too have European tour dates scheduled for May (Belgium and Italy) and November.
