Cadillac Formula 1 Team and Frontieras North America Announce Partnership
Frontieras North America and the Cadillac Formula 1 Team announced a multi-year global partnership on Monday, establishing the Houston-based energy and environmental tech firm as an official partner aimed at energy transformation and innovation as the team prepares to join the Formula 1 grid in 2026. The deal links two American brands as Cadillac builds toward becoming the 11th team on the grid, joining the paddock as the first new constructor since Haas ten years ago.
Energy Tech Expansion and Global Ambitions
Frontieras North America operates out of Houston’s Energy Corridor and is scaling up its operations across North America. The company broke ground in April on an $850 million flagship commercial-scale facility in West Virginia, alongside planned footprint expansions in Texas, Wyoming, and Canada. Frontieras and the Cadillac Formula 1® Team speak the same language; we’re two American brands built to challenge the status quo in industries where the margins are narrow and the stakes are high,
said Tyler Epp, Global Head of Commercial Strategy, Cadillac Formula 1® Team, according to Chron.

Formula 1® demands vision, engineering, athleticism, and the courage to take risks that most people would never consider,
said Matthew McKean, Fronteiras North America Co-Founder and CEO. As Cadillac’s Energy Transformation Partner, we’re proud to carry an American story onto the global stage where bridges between nations are built.
Uncertainty Surrounding Texas and Austin Activations
It remains unclear whether the partnership will bring future activations to Houston or to the upcoming Formula 1 race at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, scheduled for October 23 through October 25. Executives aligned the partnership announcement with the upcoming race. The Austin Grand Prix is one of the most popular races in the world, and it’s fitting that we debut in Texas,
McKean told Chron. Companies are relocating here and Texas keeps proving it’s where American innovation gets built.

Driver Standings and Paddock Entry Context
Cadillac enters the Formula 1 ecosystem led by veteran drivers Sergio Pérez and Valtteri Bottas. Through the first 17 races, neither Pérez nor Bottas has logged a point in the Formula 1 standings. Cadillac is the first new constructor to join the paddock since Haas ten years ago.
