Milena Krastanova Appointed Head of Bulgaria’s National Revenue Agency
Sofia, Bulgaria – The caretaker Government of Bulgaria has appointed Milena Krastanova as the new Executive Director of the National Revenue Agency (NRA), effective March 9, 2026. This decision follows the relieving of Hristo Markov from his duties as executive director.
Change in Leadership
According to a decision published in the Council of Ministers’ legal information system, Milena Krastanova will assume the role of Executive Director. The Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) reported the change in leadership on March 6, 2026.
Experience of Milena Krastanova
Krastanova has been a part of the NRA system since 1999, accumulating significant professional experience in various expert and managerial positions. Transition from Hristo Markov
Hristo Markov had been serving as the Executive Director of the NRA since November 2025.
