Milena Krastanova Appointed Head of Bulgaria’s National Revenue Agency

Sofia, Bulgaria – The caretaker Government of Bulgaria has appointed Milena Krastanova as the new Executive Director of the National Revenue Agency (NRA), effective March 9, 2026. This decision follows the relieving of Hristo Markov from his duties as executive director.

Krastanova has been a part of the NRA system since 1999, accumulating significant professional experience in various expert and managerial positions. Hristo Markov had been serving as the Executive Director of the NRA since November 2025.
