Huawei Technologies launched its Mate TV 2 series in China alongside the Mate 90 smartphone lineup, introducing an 110-inch maximum screen size and peak brightness levels reaching 6,000 nits, tekno.kompas.com reported.
Huawei Mate TV 2 Lineup and Display Specifications
The Mate TV 2 series arrives in four distinct variants: Enjoy Edition, Standard Edition, Pro, and Max. The top-tier Mate TV 2 Max features a 110-inch display, surpassing the largest 98-inch screen found in the first-generation Mate TV released in September 2025, according to suaragarut.id. Across the lineup, Huawei increased peak brightness capabilities. The Enjoy Edition supports up to 4,000 nits in sizes ranging from 65 inches to 85 inches. The Standard Edition spans 65 inches to 98 inches with 5,000 nits of brightness, an LR0.5 low-reflection coating, and 3D viewing support. The Pro model delivers 5,000 nits, while the Max model reaches 6,000 nits, making the screens clearly visible even under direct sunlight.
Kirin Chips and HarmonyOS 7 Boost Television Performance
Every model in the Mate TV 2 series runs on the Kirin 9 chipset family, which includes the T92 chip and the Honghu Vivid processor. According to Huawei’s official claims cited by tekno.kompas.com, this silicon architecture yields a 490 percent increase in single-core capabilities, a 360 percent jump in multi-core performance, and a 251 percent boost for the GPU. Paired with HarmonyOS 7, the hardware configuration lifts overall television performance by 20 percent and delivers more responsive multitasking. Enjoy Edition units carry 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, while Pro and Max variants upgrade to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. Additional features built into the system comprise drawing on the screen, child detection, and a smart home control center.
Audio Output Varies by Model and Price Point
Audio output scales across the four variants. The Enjoy Edition relies on a 130W system with a 2.2-channel spatial audio configuration, while the Standard Edition utilizes a 180W system with a 3.2.2-channel layout, suaragarut.id reported. The Pro variant raises output to 240W. The entire series incorporates Hi-Fi tweeters capable of frequencies up to 40 kHz, dual bass units, and Super 4K Mirroring. In the Chinese market, pricing starts at 7,999 yuan (approximately Rp21.3 million) for the 65-inch Enjoy Edition, reaching 13,999 yuan (approximately Rp37.3 million) for its 85-inch option.
