Hundreds of Fake Samsung Phones Sold Cheaply, Counterfeit Phone Syndicate Uncovered
Indian police uncovered a syndicate assembling and selling fake flagship cellphones that imitate Samsung Galaxy products.
In a raid carried out in the Beadon Pura area, Karol Bagh, New Delhi, police confiscated more than 500 counterfeit cellphones sold as devices Samsung flagship, especially models Galaxy S as well as Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip.
According to the official police statement, the perpetrators assembled the cellphones using spare parts and accessories imported from China. After assembly, the devices were affixed with fake IMEI stickers labeled “Made in Vietnam.”
Factory-Made Mode
This tactic aims to make the cellphones appear as official products manufactured by the Samsung factory.
Then, the fake cell phones were sold as smartphones.
