Fans of Susan Collins’ dystopian franchise can step inside the world of Panem this week as a pop-up costume exhibition opens at the Musée Rodin in Paris.
Musée Rodin Hosts Panem Costume Retrospective
The temporary installation titled Elegance Is Authority: The Story, Style and Power of Panem opens its doors on October 7 and runs through October 8, 2026. Visitors can view the exhibition daily from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM at the museum located at 77 rue de Varenne in the 7th arrondissement of Paris. The showcase brings the high-fashion aesthetic of the Capitol directly to the French capital just as the Parisian fashion week calendar concludes.
Curators have assembled signature costumes worn by characters like Katniss Everdeen and Peeta during their fights against authority. The garments highlight the extravagant fashion trends favored by the Capitol while displaying intricate details that often pass by quickly on screen. In addition to these established pieces, the gallery features exclusive elements from the upcoming film adaptation.
Sunrise on the Reaping Film Prequel Preview
The exhibition arrives ahead of the theatrical release of Sunrise on the Reaping, scheduled for November 18. The latest film in the franchise explores the 50th Hunger Games and tracks the history of Haymitch Abernathy in the arena. Actor Joseph Zada takes on the role of Woody Harrelson.
Early promotional images have offered glimpses of the prequel, but the Musée Rodin pop-up provides a look at items pulled directly from the new production. The display links the aesthetic evolution of Panem from the historical 50th games to the era of Katniss and President Snow’s youth.
