Hildebrandt’s Ice Cream Sponsors Jockey Dylan Davis’ Return to Racing

SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY – Hildebrandt’s Ice Cream has announced a sponsorship of jockey Dylan Davis as he returns to horse racing following a significant injury sustained in a spill at Aqueduct Racetrack in November 2025.

A Hometown Hero Returns

Davis, a Saratoga Springs High School graduate, is a familiar face at Saratoga Race Course, known as “The Spa.” The sponsorship underscores Hildebrandt’s commitment to supporting athletes who demonstrate perseverance and resilience. “Hildebrandt’s is honored to support one of horse racing’s most respected riders at such a pivotal moment in his career,” the ice cream maker stated in a press release.

Overcoming Serious Injuries

On November 14, 2025, Davis suffered nine fractured ribs, a collapsed left lung, and a broken right collarbone during a racing incident. A GoFundMe campaign initiated by his brother, Robbie Jr., quickly exceeded its $12,000 goal, raising $18,190 from the horse racing community to help cover medical expenses, physical therapy, and rehabilitation.

A Legacy in Horse Racing

Davis comes from a prominent horse racing family. His sister, Katie Davis, was featured in the Netflix docuseries “Race for the Crown,” and their father, Robbie Davis, was a successful jockey in the 1980s. Other family members involved in the sport include Jacqueline (Jackie) Davis, a jockey based in the Finger Lakes, and Edmund (Eddie) Davis, an up-and-coming horse trainer.

Davis’s Accomplishments

Prior to his injury, Davis had a successful 2025 season at Saratoga Race Course, achieving 21 first-place finishes and earning over $2.6 million in earnings. He has too achieved significant wins throughout his career, including victories in the Royal Delta Stakes (2025), Adirondack Stakes (2024), Distaff Stakes (2024), and Saratoga Derby Invitational Stakes (2024). In 2018, he tied a New York Racing Association record with a six-win day. He was also the NYRA Leading Jockey in 2022 and 2024.

Hildebrandt’s Expanding Sponsorships

Hildebrandt’s Ice Cream has been actively increasing its presence in the sports world. The company recently sponsored the winning jockeys of both the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness Stakes, with both riders displaying the Hildebrandt’s logo during the races. They intend to continue this support by sponsoring jockeys in the Belmont Stakes, the final leg of the Triple Crown.
