The veterans community currently faces significant challenges, including alarmingly high rates of suicide. the 2025 Spirit of Freedom Award recipients exemplify the dedication needed to address these issues. Their efforts demonstrate a commitment to providing crucial support and resources.

Connecting Veterans in Crisis

One awardee, a patrol deputy, leverages his own veteran experience to connect with veterans experiencing a crisis.He proactively links them with vital resources, prioritizing their well-being both on and off duty.
